Software of spectrometric complexes
Software of spectrometric complexes “SpectraDec” obtains a certificate of official registration in the List of computer programs (№ 2001611377 from 10.10.2001)
In the program we’ve realized the method for identification of radionuclides in samples with the use of liquid scintillation counter protected by the USA, Finland and Russian Federation patents.

Destination and capabilities

• Software system “SpectraDec” is intended to carry out processing of results of b-spectrometer measurements in operational systems MS Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
• “SpectraDec” fulfils mathematical processing of b-spectrums measured with:
• all the existing liquid scintillation counters, and particularly:
• “Tricarb” by the “Canberra” company,
• “Quantilus” by the “Wallac” company,
• “Guardian” by the “Wallac” company,
• “Triathler” by the “Hidex” company,
• “SKS-07” by the “Green Star” company,
• spectrometers with solid state detectors, and particularly:
• Progress-beta-M and UMF-2000 by the “Doza” company, etc.
• “SpectraDec” is compatible with the unit “Triathler” and allows getting spectrums measured without using any extra software.  
• “SpectraDec” allows managing measurements on units connected through internal spectrometer card with the built-in memory and up to 3 inputs, or through COM/LTP-ports without using any extra drivers.

At the same time “SpectraDec” assures simultaneous execution of measurements on “Triathler” and on every input of a spectrometer card.

• Mathematical processing is based on modeling of a measured spectrum by spectrums of separate radionuclides from prepared radionuclide library.

The processing result is radionuclide composition of the sample tested.

• Measurement results are brought to the report file in the text format. There is a built-in text editor for working with report files, also there is ability to print a report and a graphic representation of measurement and processing results.
• According to the Customer’s choice, a data base of a required format may be created and there measurement results will be withdrawn.

Also, the program may be connected with the Customer’s existing information base.

• “SpectraDec” has three working modes:
• Measurement – mode for measurement and visualization of the spectrums measured;
• Processing – mode for analysis and mathematical processing of the spectrums measured;
• Report – mode for working with a measurement report.

Radioecological research:

• Monitoring of natural (isotopes Ra, Rn, U, Th, 210Pb, 210Po) and artificial (3H, 90Sr, 241Pu) radionuclides in environment objects on background levels – includes radiochemical preparation of samples;
• Rapid analysis (‘screening’ method without radiochemical preparation) of different radionuclides in environment objects during control of emissions and discharges of non-nuclear cycle enterprises – coal, oil, gas fields, TPPs;
• Control of artificial radionuclides in emissions and discharges of nuclear cycle enterprises (3H, 85Kr, 89Sr, 99Tc, 129I, 234U, 238U, 241Pu) – includes radiochemical preparation of samples;

Radiation hygiene and medicine:

• Radiation control of drinking water supply sources: rapid analysis (without radiochemical preparation) of alpha- and beta-emitters content with simultaneous determination of main components, as well as analysis of separate normed radionuclides (90Sr, 226Ra, 228Ra, 210Pb, 210Po, 234U, 238U) – includes radiochemical preparation of samples;
• Precision analysis of radon and thoron content in the building air;
• Control of the air content, and also inside content of different radionuclides of personnel at nuclear cycle enterprises;
• Control of radioisotope tracers in medical and biological research.

Application in technology:

• Control of content of different radionuclides (taking into consideration the enterprise specific character) in technological environments at nuclear cycle enterprises – rapid analysis by ‘screening’ method without radiochemical preparation or with minimum simplified preparation;
• Control of emissions and discharges of nuclear cycle enterprises and research institutions;
• Control of isotopic products’ quality.

Measurements

• If you have no appropriate equipment, our analytical laboratory offers to carry out expert analysis of your samples.
• The laboratory qualification is confirmed by successful passing of the professional tests organized by the IAEA radiation measurement quality control service.
• The IAEA laboratory is included in the list of international Analytical Laboratories for the Measurement of Environmental Radioactivity (ALMERA).
• The laboratory is equipped with high quality facilities for sample preparation and radiochemical analyses, and also facilities by leading global producers for a-b-g-measurements.
• All the units are certified in VNIIFTRI (All-Russia Scientific and Research Institute for Physical-Technical and Radiochemical Measurements) or D.I. Mendeleev VNIIM (All-Russia Scientific and Research Institute for Metrology).
• All the methods applied have been elaborated in the laboratory and certified in VNIIFTRI or D.I. Mendeleev VNIIM.
