International cooperation

According to information given by independent experts, FSUE RАDON is in the group of powerful world centers dealing with radioactive waste.

Business partners of RАDON are large companies of the USA, Germany, France, Japan, Belgium, Australia, Israel and others. Close cooperation with foreign associates gives opportunity of getting important experience in solving such a worldwide problem as the population radiation safety.

The enterprise specialists constantly take part in prestigious international workshops, seminars, conferences and exhibitions covering different aspects of safe radwaste management and environmental protection, such as ICEM, WM, KONTEC, PIME, DisTec etc. Participation in such events enriches experience of communication with associates from leading foreign companies working in this field, moreover gives valuable information to be used in FSUE RАDON activities as well as impartial assessment of the native (corporate) works level.

The RАDON scientists and specialists go into the organizing committees of the most important international forums on activities connected with radioactive waste.

Foreign partners also often visit FSUE RАDON. Since the enterprise foundation it has been visited by lots of representatives from different countries dealing with problems of radwaste treatment and storage.

There were organized and held the IAEA technical seminars with participants from the CIS countries, Central and Eastern Europe, Asia.

For the recent 17 years of active cooperation with the Agency this collaboration has become systematic and multi-aspect. Constant relations based on mutually beneficial cooperation have been established with many of the countries leading in radwaste management. Large joint projects were carried out with companies from the USA, Israel, Belgium and the Netherlands. The project called “Assistance to RАDON in radioactive waste management in Moscow region” was included into the EC’s TACIS program.

Jointly with the IAEA FSUE RАDON held advanced training courses for more than 300 radwaste management specialists from 32 European and Asian countries.

The enterprise with the IAEA assistance has distributed up-to-date technologies into Iran, Syria, Bangladesh, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Ukraine etc. The FSUE RАDON experts took part in the IAEA’s technical missions in Iran, Libya, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Syria, South Korea, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Serbia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia.

Nowadays the Agency places at FSUE RАDON orders on equipment manufacturing for other countries.

Large joint projects are conducted with enterprises of USA, Israel, Belgium, Netherlands.
